I don’t know what existence is like after we leave this life, but I want the same for you as I always have – I wish for you to thrive, be joyful, and experience whatever great things that may be.
I remember how happy you were when I surprised you for your birthday in our Hangzhou apartment. I love how pleased you were with the whole ordeal. We spent time riding around, eating, taking, laughing, and having fun with each other all night.
You were always so much fun. You planned so many great adventures for us. I was glad to be able to do nice things for you whenever I could. Even when I was busy or tired, I was somehow usually energized enough to make you smile. I wish I could say always.
I am glad that I never made you cry. I didn’t always make you smile, and sometimes I made you angry; but I am proud that I never made you cry.
I dream about you all the time. I look forward to it, because we are always going on some kind of adventure like we always did. Riding our bikes or walking for 8 to 10 hours a day without noticing. One of us was always talking. Well, mostly me, but you are a great listener. At the same time, you had some great stories to tell, and were a great conversationalist in general.
With you, I always had someone to talk to. You never rejected me once. You always made yourself available to listen to, and understand me. And I love how you are always grateful when you learn something new. You thank me all the time.
I haven’t been sleeping well the past few days, but when I get back on track, I will definitely be ready to play with you. You are the best friend I could have ever hoped for and dreamed about. You have been my dream come true. I wish so much that you were still here everyday in this life.
I’ll be sure to write to you more often. I’m getting back to myself day by day. It has been so hard without you, but I will go on. Until we meet again.
