In addition to the definition provided by Google’s AI that unsurprisingly aligns with the one I work with, I offer one of my own cognition. This is intended as a compliment to the previous definition and reflects my view that physics and metaphysics are really united. It is an acronym that spells out four of the main areas of physics that I assert should be known by anyone who claims to be a metaphysician, metaphysicist, or metaphysical scientist (one who practices metaphysics). If we are to engage in exchanges about things we say go beyond physics, shouldn’t we at least have a fundamental grasp of that which we presume to be going beyond?
Therefore, my complimentary definition is “M.E.T.A.-Physics”, or Mathematical, Experimental, Theoretical & Applied Physics. The reader will find that this dual definition is echoed throughout this dissertation, and is the lens through which I view reality, and that ultimately guides my research and contemplation. Everything that follows will support this line of thinking and draws for readers, seekers, and researchers a map of this cognitive territory.
